Today didn’t start out well.
I woke up at around 2:45am to go to the can.
However, I heard a funny noise.
Turns out the lid was down.
(Stop laughing… Ok, it WAS funny…)
I couldn’t go back to sleep, got up late, got to school late, which means the work I was supposed to do didn’t get done.
Then I got a bunch of “uh oh” texts from my wife.
And then I had my coffee spilled all over my hand.
(Fortunately it was warm, not hot.)
All this before 10am.
You ever have days like this?
When everything seems to go wrong and you’re looking at all the stuff you have to get done and you feel overwhelmed?
One of the easiest things to do when you’re feeling that way is ditch your workouts.
Do this enough and weeks, even months pass.
And you’re sunk.
Not only do the pounds start piling back up, so does the guilt and shame for failing to meet your own standards.
