Hope you had a great weekend.

We did.

Saturday it was sunny and almost 70 degrees here in the mountains so we went hiking with the kids to one of the local parks which we had inadvertently overlooked for the past almost 3 years.

Don’t ask me how we did that.

But it was worth the wait.

Nothing like being out in the fresh air.

Most of the snow has been gone for the last week, even though there’s still a small pile in the front yard.

Shoulda remembered that when hiking.

Coming down we ran into some ice and mud even though the rest of the trails were dry.

My little girl was on my back in the backpack and I hoisted my son up and carried him either across my shoulder or like a log in my arms.

He loved that.

He even said, “Dad – your so strong. Do you think other dads are as strong as you?”

To which I of course replied – Nope. Very few.

Which of course is in my humble opinion the truth. ;-)

That’s the point of working out routinely and taking care of yourself.

At least for me.

I can model strength and health to my kids and more importantly, I can do whatever I want to physically with them.

Go hiking for 3 hours with no water, carrying my daughter on my back all the way up and carrying both kids the majority of the way down?

No problem.

Not troublesome in the least.

I hope you can experience the same thing.

(Ok, if you have teenagers, you may not be able to carry them on your back – nor would they let you, LOL…)

And because of that, I wanted to let you know about some things I’ve been working on for you.

1. Videos.

A couple months back I told you I was working on some new videos.

Well the first batch – about advanced KB training – are almost edited.

The second batch – that’s on the shelf because I wasn’t sure how I was going to use them – I think I have an idea but I’m not sure.

And they led to the third batch – which are slated to be filmed this coming weekend.

They’re going to be full tutorials on the single KB lifts/exercises – the Big 6. When I asked people about a month ago – I had a slew of responses from people saying they needed a good resource.

Well this is going to be a great resource – Kettlebell STRONG! style.

Full on tutorials of how to do each lift – as if you were at a workshop going through it yourself.

They should be ready mid-March.

2. Advanced KB training.

One of my business mentors once said,

“To go get where you’ve never been, you have to do what you’ve never done.”

After thinking about it for a moment, I decidedhe was right.

The same ol’ strategies that got you to one level won’t get you to the next level.

(Hence the term “Level Up” I guess.)

The same thing that’s true in business is true in all endeavors…

Even training.

For example –

Well… I’ll save that for a future email.

Safe to say – even though I have a coach, I don’t always follow his advice.

And it bites me in the butt.

Point is –

What served you in the past most likely won’t serve you now.

Therefore, I’m going to start a series on Advanced KB Training Strategies and Tactics.

(They’re different.)

So keep an eye out for those.

They’ll really help you get to that proverbial “next level.”

3. Video or Email?

Tell me what you like better – emails you can read quickly or videos you can watch whenever.

Thinking about experimenting with some things for you.

Let me know.

That’s it for now –

Gotta go grab some grub.

Monday night’s turned into “chili night.”

Stay Strong.
