I was training yesterday, thinking about the insanity
that seems to be my most recent training program.
Its “creator,” my coach, Jay, writes some pretty weird
But since he’s been around the block a few times
and trained what seems like a million champions,
I’m learning how to trust him.
So like a dummy, I voice my concerns.
“To get to places you’ve never been, you have
to be willing to do things you’ve never done.”
Can’t argue with that.
Said differently –
If you want the same result you’ve always gotten,
keep doing the same thing.
It reminds me of that quote by Albert Einstein –
Yeah, you know, probably one of the smartest guys
who ever lived, creator of the Theory of Relativity?
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing
over and over again and expecting different
So let me ask you this:

your body to places you’ve never been, but only
